Just like the first game of Day #3, the final game of the day results in a shutout and an elimination as the Southeast Region; Post Oak LL of Houston, Texas; defeated the Northwest Region; Coeur d’Alene LL of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; by final score 3-0 at Howard J. Lamade Stadium.

After a scoreless 1st Inning, the Southeast would score for the first time in the Top of the 2nd as Bo Walker hit a hard single into center field, scoring Jack Ryan from 2nd base, giving the Southeast their first lead, and the lead for good, 1-0.

Picking back up in the Top of the 3rd Inning, James Hooper grounds out, but picks up an RBI as Chase Fralick scores from 3rd on the play, pushing the Southeast lead to 2-0 after three innings.

The scoring would stay dormant until the Top of the 6th Inning as the Southeast would add an insurance run as Chase Fralick picked up an RBI Single, scoring Ben Traxler from 3rd, and bringing the game to it’s final score of 3-0 as the Southeast shuts out and eliminates the Northwest from the 2018 Little League World Series.

With the win, the Southeast continues their run through the Loser’s Bracket and will now face the loser of the Southwest and the Mid-Atlantic on Monday at 8:00 p.m. at Howard J. Lamade Stadium.

With the loss, the Northwest sees their tournament life come to an end, but they will play one more game in Williamsport as they face Europe-Africa in a Consolation Crossover Game on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Howard J. Lamade Stadium.
