Joe Tordy

Former Fox Sports Williamsport broadcaster Joe Tordy has been named the play-by-play voice of the Philadelphia Soul.

Tordy joined Fox Sports Williamsport in the fall of 2014 as the play-by-play voice of the Chestnut Hill College Griffins.

Joe Tordy joined Fox Sports Williamsport in the fall of 2014 as the play-by-play voice of the Chestnut Hill College Griffins.  He is also an update anchor for 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia.

Prior to joining Fox Sports Williamsport, Joe served as the General Manager/Lead Play-by-Play Announcer of the Burlington County Sports Network broadcasting high school sports in South Jersey.  He was the Broadcasting/Media Relations Manager  for the Camden Riversharks baseball team from April of 2013 through May of 2014, producing, engineering, announcing, and hosting all 140 games of the Atlantic League season.

He has also worked the US Tennis Open for US Open.org Radio in 2011 and 2012, and spent time working for the National Hockey League and for Westwood One Radio in New York.

He learned the ropes of radio and the art of play-by-play at Fordham University’s WFUV, where he covered and announced both Fordham and New York professional sports.  He graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.

He resides in Cherry Hill, New Jersey with his wife, Kathleen.
