Lycoming Gears Up for Summer Sport Camp Offerings

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Athletes of all ages can develop their technical skills by attending summer camps at Lycoming College for a variety of sports including basketball, football, soccer and wrestling. Campers are instructed by coaches and members of the College’s sports teams.

The first camp to start is the Lycoming County Youth Soccer Camps for boys and girls ages 8 to 16 starting June 12 through June 15. The Lycoming College women’s soccer coach, Kenny Fern, and his staff will provide training, games and skill development. Head men’s soccer coach Nate Gibboney will run the Lycoming Co-Ed Youth Soccer Camp at the Liberty Arena for ages 7-14 from July 22-25 before the men’s soccer team will host a 8-v-8 Boys’ Soccer Tournament on July 27 and a Boys’ Soccer ID Clinic on July 28.

Coach Roger Crebs’ camps focus on team development for grades 7 through 12 as well as individual development for athletes ages 8 to 14, both to be held June 22-26.

Basketball coach Mike McGarvey will hold the Warrior Basketball Day Camp from July 8-12 to develop skills for athletes ages 8 to 16.

Football players looking to gain an edge can take advantage of the skills provided by Lycoming’s experience staff during a camp offered from July 15-18. The camp includes two specialized training options, one for children in grades 2 through 5 and another for grades 6 to 9.
